POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTION SUPPORT
Brewer Island PBIS program defines the values and behavioral expectations of our students in order to foster a safe and nurturing school environment. With input from our PBIS team, staff members and parents, our PBIS program teaches students responsibility and respect.
The following are the foundational tenets of PBIS at Brewer Island:

Bathroom |
Give people privacy. Use quiet voices |
Wash hands with soap. Keep water in the sink. Buddy waits quietly. |
Flush the toilet. Walk back to the class as soon as you are finished. Put towels in the trash can. |
Playground |
Play fairly and take turns. Include everyone. Keep hands and feet to yourself. |
Walk to and from the playground. Stay within the boundaries. Walk on or near the play structure. |
Use an office pass to leave the play area. Return equipment. Stop, drop, and be quiet when the bell rings. |
Hallways | Keep hands and feet to yourself. |
Walk facing forwards. Walk around red safety lines on the ground by doors. Always walk with a buddy |
Use quiet voices. Keep wagons, backpacks, and personal belongings against the wall. |
